Water Vapour Permeability Tester UI-FT16
Description
Water Vapour Permeability Tester (WVP) is applied to test the water vapour permeability of all kinds of leather and shoe vamp as per ISO 20344. SATRA TM 172. For Water Vapour coefficient test, water vapour absorption tester is needed.
Unuo Instruments supplies 2 types of Water Vapour Permeability Tester as below. Besides, the preflexing machine for leather and vamp–Bally Flexing Tester is available.
- UI-FT16 A without temp. humidity control;
- UI-FT 16 B with environment control.
Machine Principle
Sample is fixed in a opening jar, which contains a quantity of solid desiccant.This unit is placed in a strong current of air in a conditioned atmosphere. The air inside the container is constantly agitated by the desiccant, which is kept in movement by the rotation of the jar. The jar is weighted in order to determine the mass of the moisture that has passed through the test piece and has been absorbed by the desiccant.
