Bundesmann Water Repellency Tester is to determine textile fabric water repellency by a simulated rain shower. This machine has 4 cups which will rotate during the test and collect the water.

2. What is the Bundesmann method?
Fabric water repellency tested by rain-shower is known as the Bundesmann method. In the top of the machine, there is a water spray system, which has a specified size and a mount of nozzoles, will spray water (100±5)ml/min. In the bottom of Bundesmann rain shower, there are 4 cups which are to fix samples and will rotate to collect the water which passes through the fabric during the tests. Besides, every cup inside has a wiper which will press against the underside of sample during the sample.
Bundesmann water repellency test can be used to determine the effectiveness of finishing procedures for rendering textile fabrics water-repellent.
